After an amazing event at Anderson's Bookstore the other weekend, we've been trying to figure out a way to thank them and all of the other Indies who have been so supportive of us over the past few months. Within the writing community, we are constantly talking about the importance of independent booksellers and all the hard work they do to help promote books and authors. So, we're proclaiming May 31st "We <3 Indies Day" and we're inviting all of you to celebrate the awesome that is independent bookstores with us.
All you have to do to participate is blog or tweet about your favorite Indie and why you love it so much. We're also going to give away a book purchased at an Indie to a random commenter, but a giveaway is completely optional. Our goal is to remind readers how important it is to support independent booksellers and thank them for their contributions to the writing community. We'll post all the links to participating bloggers on our blog, so if you're planning on posting, just fill this out. We'll use #I<3Indies on Twitter. Please feel free to spread the word and invite others to join us!
